INAPI itinerant workshop on international patent system is used with presence of CREATECH

2015-06-17At the beginning of June was held, in units of the National Institute of Industrial property (INAPI), the "Itinerant workshop on the international patent system: PCT, ePCT and EPO". INAPI and WIPO carry out intellectual property for journalists seminar

2015-05-22The day 13 may developed the Intellectual property for journalists seminar, organized by the world intellectual property organization (WIPO by its acronyms and English) and the National Institute of Industrial property in Chile (INAPI). The event was attended by around 20 professionals related to communication.

Welcome to the seminar was conducted by Maximiliano Santa Cruz, National Director of INAPI, who stressed that the protection of intellectual property (P.I.) WIPO patent drafting workshop held with the presence of CREATECH

In December of last year was held in Santiago de Chile the "workshop of drafting patents" issued by the world intellectual property organization, WIPO for its acronym in English, in collaboration with INAPI. INAPI assumed duties as new authority ISA/IPEA for PCT

The past 14 August was the "Search for the State of the art" seminar organized jointly by the National Institute of Industrial property (INAPI) and Licensing Executives Society (LES) Chile. The objective of this seminar was to provide training on tools and techniques of the State of the art searches.

The seminar was structured on the basis of three exhibitions, which were antecedidas by words of welcome from Esteban Figueroa, Deputy Director of patents of INAPI, who mentioned the preparation which INAPI professionals have had to perform the function as International Searching Authority (ISA) and as International Preliminary Examination (IPEA) of the Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT) in the best possible way, highlighting, In addition which INAPI will play a "big role within the region, transforming Chile into a regional pole of innovation"; and Rodrigo León, President of LES Chile, who referred to the fees to be charged INAPI tell of the 22 October, When you begin to function as international PCT authority. This would have a lower cost to Chilean applicants and region, in relation to the rest of the applicants. Thus the rate of international search will cost USD 400, for Chilean applicants and the region and a cost of USD 2000 for the rest of the countries; and the preliminary examination fee will cost USD 1500 General and USD 400 for Chilean applicants and region. In addition to Chile will promote the Chilean Office in the rest of Latin America, since they are unsure which INAPI "do impeccable work, that will leave very well since the name of the country and that it will benefit all us, because they will generate a greater knowledge and awareness of the importance of Industrial property and technology transfer."     Read more …

Catherine Jelinek renews his credential as a Certified Licensing Professional

05-06-2014In the year 2008, under the initiative of Licensing Executives Society (LES) United States and Canada, the program was launched Certified Licensing ProfessionalTM (CLP), as a way to recognize professionals who have demonstrated their experience and competence in intellectual property licensing and who are committed to the professional development and achievement of the skills and knowledge necessary to perform their duties at the highest level of quality. There are currently more than 850 professional credential CLP ™ worldwide. Catherine W. Jelinek, General Manager of CREATECH, who is part of these professionals from 2008, earned this month Re-certification of their credentials as CLP for the next three years.     Read more …
