University of the Andes developed 2nd technology fair where CREATECH was again invited to participate

The past 10 November 2nd technology fair was held in the Hall North of the library of the Universidad de los Andes. It is activity, just like the first version, It was the closing of the course "Design workshop, product" of the Faculty of engineering and applied sciences. However, Unlike the previous version, participants are mostly studying 2nd year of electrical engineering, Engineering in computer science and Civil Engineering.     Read more …

The National Institute of intellectual property (INAPI) and the world intellectual property organization (WIPO for its acronym in English), with the cooperation of the European Patent Office (EPO for its acronym in English) and the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile (PUC), they organized the "International patenting strategies seminar". The event was held the 9 June in the center of innovation Anacleto Angelini of the PUC and attended the Samanta Elgueta and Susana Labra, CREATECH markets and technologies executives. At beginning of June Jovanka Trebotich, CREATECH studies Manager, successfully completed his master's degree in Business Administration (MBA) at the University of Talca. This process started in June of 2015, with classes twice a week for three weeks a month, It involved the difficult task of making compatible work and studies for Jovanka.

Jovanka is biochemist by profession, It has master's degree in technology management with emphasis on biotechnology of the University of Talca and has seven years of working experience. Even so, experience MBA says that "it was a new world for me, almost as study other career. I learned many things that my training had ever seen them". But he says that at times it was stressful and complex, highlights for teachers who had and fellow program, who were from other areas and areas, so they further enriched classes.     Read more …

The day 14 June developed the 1ND technology fair at the Universidad de Los Andes, This activity is part of the closure of the course "Design workshop, product" of the Faculty of engineering and applied sciences in that House of studies. Highlights that this course was composed by 149 the students of Civil Engineering in computer science, Civil Engineering, Civil Engineering and electrical engineering.

At the fair were they exposed 25 projects, which according to said Juan Pablo Oyarzun, Professor of the course-CREATECH client, "they had as a challenge make a contribution to the transition from the current linear economic model is to say"take, do, discard"a model of circular economy, This means "reduce, Recycle, reuse". For this the students conducted research of users to find unmet needs, for which products or innovative solutions through the design and manufacture of prototypes could be generated, fulfilling that yes the challenge proposed in the course.     Read more …
